BLUE HERON THEATRE COMPANY TO PRESENT “THE SEVEN YEAR ITCH”

The Seven Year Itch by George Axelrod is a romantic comedy.  A husband named Richard is left home for the summer while his wife and daughter go on vacation.  What starts out to be a boring time turns into a great fantasy.  When Richard is almost killed by a tomato plant dropped by a beautiful young woman living upstairs, he invites her down for a drink and the fun begins.

Richard is a nervous man who lacks confidence, but left alone to his own devices he proves to be something of a “player”.  Thinking his wife is being romanced by a friend of the family, he decides that leaves him free to pursue The Girl.  Or could it be that The Girl is pursuing him?  In the midst of all this, he is harassed by a psychologist writing a book about sex which his company wants to publish. Richard and The Girl have other ideas.  As The Girl says, “Begin the Beguine”.

Join us for fun and laughter as Richard struggles to figure things out.
