This very solid and entertaining musical revue which features four women actually enjoyed a long run off Broadway and continues to play in multiple professional, community and academic venues around the country. Its first act focus is on the Wonderettes performing for their school prom in the spring of 1958. Its musical numbers are replete with wonderful four part harmonies and choreography to match!  Its very minimal dialogue is fast moving banter between the girls and with the audience and of course comedy abounds both in song and dialogue. These are not cardboard cutouts, but rather very real, warm and human girls. The songs included in this first act include: Mr. Sandman, Lollypop, Sugartime, Allegheny Moon, Dream Lover, All I Have To Do Is Dream, Stupid Cupid, Lipstick On Your Collar, L-O-V-E, Mr. Lee, Teachers Pet, Goodnight Sweetheart, Hold Me, Thrill Me and many more.

Act 2 takes place at the ten year reunion. The book changes up, the girls have different stories to convey and we get the benefit of 60’s music now. Such song in this act include: Heatwave, It’s In His Kiss, Wedding Bell Blues, You Don’t Own Me, I Only Want to Be With you, It’s My Party, Son Of a Preacher Man, Leader Of The Pack, Respect, Rescue Me, Sincerely and many others! All of these songs certainly transcend generations and are not only recognizable to most, but you’ll want to hum along!
